Getting started
Escalate without starting over
A practical sequence from the dealership to outside review.
What to do, in order
- Ask the service manager for the unresolved-item list, diagnostic results and next repair step. If needed, ask dealership management for a written response.
- Open or update a brand customer assistance case. Send a one-page timeline and requested remedy. Obtain a case number and the assigned contact.
- If the agreed response is missed or the repair remains unresolved, request manager or executive review through the existing case. Explain what the dealer and support team have already tried.
- Ask who owns the review, what records are missing, what decision is being considered and when you will receive the next written update. A suggested follow-up date is a communication goal, not a legal deadline.
- Check outside options in parallel: state consumer resources, legal advice, and eligible dispute resolution. Do not assume internal review pauses any legal clock.
What you can say
“I am requesting escalation of case [number] because the attached concerns remain unresolved after the listed repair visits. Please identify the review owner and next written decision date.”
What to watch for
Avoid opening many unconnected cases or contacting many executives repeatedly. A senior address does not guarantee personal handling or authority to approve a buyback.
Your next step
Use the escalation template and contact directory.
